Local resources partner to support local businesses during Business Supports Tours

Written by Big Lakes County

Community Futures Lesser Slave Lake, Big Lakes County Business Supports Program, and Alberta Labour and Immigration have joined together to tour local businesses and lend a hand. Representatives from each organization met with 3 businesses located west of High Prairie, as well as TD Bank, on June 6th, 2019. Every 4 to 6 weeks, the partners get together to spend a day with various companies to learn about their challenge and opportunities and to provide insight and connections if needed.

"These are tough times for our local businesses, but they are very resilient. It's heartwarming to hear their stories and how committed they are to our communities. Our advisory group connects the companies we meet to the advice and resources that they need to stay in business, diversify, and grow. It's great to be doing this collaboratively with Josh and Deanna, who bring different skills and information to our tours."

Community Futures Lesser Slave Lake, Big Lakes County Business Supports Program, and Alberta Labour and Immigration will set out for another Business Supports Tour Day in the coming weeks. If your company is interested in hosting them for a meeting during your regular business hours, please contact Joyce Stokes, Big Lakes County Business Supports Advisor at This email address is being protected from spambots.
